On Monday we had another good weigh-in at the clinic and a trip to the cafe, then yesterday all but one of the new parents and babies from our NCT class met up for a reunion. Here's P, sporting something stripy that I bought him (most of his current wardrobe is from his cousin Niamh) and looking vaguely quizzical. The babies and everyone's experiences so far were so different; it was lovely to see everyone. Peter is being quite tough at the moment, crying most of the time when he's not feeding or sleeping, but we're just about coping with it - just wish we had more time to play with him, but I'm sure it will come.

This weekend P and I went to spend the night with his grandparents while M was in Kings Lynn giving a talk. Here he is today enjoying his reclaimed bouncy chair (thank you Jane) and looking fairly chipper after his bath.

Peter has been welcomed with many cards and some wonderful presents; an alphabet quilt from America, beautiful clothes for when he's a little bigger from family and friends, a personalised cross-stitched bib from Belgium (here's the detail - spot the parental themes!), a cuddly lion from Lion TV, and many other things [including these knitted treats].
He's past the three week mark now and although feeding and sleeping are still quite challenging, he is fabulous. We've mostly been keeping things quiet as far as visitors go, but this week he met Mel and his great-grandmother, and we'll be having a little 'at home to callers' this afternoon for a few London friends.

At some point we must get over to Fulham to register his birth - it's complicated because (a) we're not married so both have to attend, which means a trip for all three of us on the tube, and (b) he was born in a different borough to the one we live in so we can't just mosey down to Ealing high street.

Aunties and uncles today - here's P in his wrap (a gift from his uncle AJ) ready to go out for a little walk, and here he is with Picul. (Note also the fabulous flowers in the background, from great aunty Gunny and great Uncle Chris.)
