I spent two days in the office in Oxford, meeting everyone, having inductions, and generally getting very enthused (and only slightly daunted) by my new job. All my new colleagues seemed delighted to see me, and it seems like a wonderful place to work. I'll be home-based for the next while, but look forward to the lovely gym/choir/restaurant/cycle facilities in the future.
This was quite a logistical operation as, although W coped fine without me for the two whole days (first time without at least a lunchtime pitstop), he still needs me at bedtime and through the night. So we all stayed in Swallowfield, with me doing a bus + train commute and Marc looking after the boys there, with great assistance from Mum, Dad, AJ, Victoria and Gunny. AJ took them to soft play and made a video.

Marc's book deadline has been brought forward by a month, for an excellent reason which I will let him relate, which means he's working like made on footnotes, pictures, and index, and the boys and I will be spending much of the next week elsewhere!
